Here's where to eat, drink & party during the F1 Canadian Grand Prix (2024)

The Formula 1 Grand Prix takes over Montreal (the only Canadian stop on the tour!) from June 15-18, 2023 and there’s so much to see and do. Starting with the hottest and most delicious restaurants where you can get in some celebrity spotting while enjoying some incredible dishes. And don’t worry, we’re including some late-night eats for the after-party refuel (or sobering up)! Bon appétit.

Here are the best restaurants and bars to dine, see and be seen at during the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada, in Montreal

Marcus (Four Seasons Hotel Montreal)

Golden Square Mile

Celebrate race weekend in style at the Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal located in the heart of downtown and close to all the trendy shops and boutiques. The place to be is Marcus Restaurant & Terrace with chef Marcus Samuelsson at the helm. The menu is seafood-forward with a few vegetarian dishes. Must-try dishes are the seafood tower and the cheese plate. During the Grand Prix, you can expect a Clase Azul takeover on the terrace from Thursday to Saturday and Live DJs playing every night from Thursday to Sunday.

Throughout the entire weekend, L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel located in Old Montreal is hosting a series of ticketed events with some of the hottest DJs and performers. Not only is the space stunning, but it’s an old mansion built in the 1600s, featuring a menu of classic dishes inspired by both Quebec and European culture. During race weekend you can expect a brunch party on Saturday that kicks off at noon or you can book a spot for dinner with a menu created by chef Amédée Bécherrazchef.

Soubois is downtown Montreal’s premiere spot for partying the night away. A stellar lineup of international DJs can be expected from Thursday to Sunday and don’t be surprised if you spot some of the drivers taking in the festivities. They also have a terrasse and a restaurant with limited menus but we’d recommend hitting up this hot spot for the party vibes.

Where to go late-night in Montreal to eat after the F1 Grand Prix parties? Here’s where…

La Banquise

Plateau Mont-Royal

After all that partying and celebrity sightseeing, there’s nothing better to cap off your Montreal night with than a hot plate of poutine, Montreal’s famous late-night food. La Banquise is the go-to spot for locals and visitors and is in the Plateau/Mont-Royal area of Montreal. It’s further away from the glitz and glamour of downtown Montreal but the gravy and cheese-soaked fries will be worth it, especially when you have 30 varieties to choose from! It first opened in 1968 and since then has become a Montreal dining staple, and lucky for you they are open 24/7.

Boustan

Hochelaga

Open till 3 am on the weekdays and 4 am on the weekends, Boustan is your go-to spot for Lebanese cuisine including all the classics – shawarma, shish taouk, falafels, kebabs, and that oh-so-addictive garlic sauce. They have multiple locations including Crescent Street, Sherbrooke and St Catherine in the downtown core, so you won’t have to go very far.

Dunn’s Famous

Multiple locations

Another Montreal staple food – the smoked meat sandwich – and we found you one that you can get till 5 am if you wanted to. There are multiple locations downtown of this famous (don’t mind the pun) restaurant which was founded in 1927 and whether you indulge in the sandwiches during the wee hours of the morning or even for a quick lunch, you won’t be disappointed.
