What is special about Xero Shoes? ›

Xero Shoes are designed to let your feet do what's natural — bend, flex, move and feel the world. Research shows that “supporting” your arch can make your foot weaker in as little as a few weeks, while even just walking in a minimalist shoe can improve foot muscle strength.

If you want a more barefoot experience, you can try them in bare feet or with a very thin sock. You can also experiment with removing the sockliner (insole) for an even “more barefoot” experience or to help get your ideal fit. Similarly, length is a bit of personal preference.

The soles of the Genesis, original Cloud and Z-Trek are very thin and flexible. We recommend a snug fit for these styles. The sole of the Z-Trail is thicker than our other sandals, so customers can get a roomier fit on this style, if preferred.

Where are your shoes made? We design all of our shoes here in Colorado. Xero Shoes are responsibly, ethically, and fairly manufactured in China.
