Brick Township

June 16

Township man John Pavlik, 56 was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving. Officer Sean Flynn made the arrest at police headquarters.

June 17

Darrell Butler, 40, of Lakewood was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. Officer Joseph Farnkopf made the arrest on Sawmill Road.

June 17

Township man Nikolaos Maroulis, 18 was charged with aggravated assault and endangering a helpless or incapacitated person. Officer Robert Shepherd made the arrest at police headquarters.

June 17

Davon Reid, 24, of Newark was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of a weapon by certain persons prohibited, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Township man Kayvon Tinnery, 21 was charged in the incident with possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog, hindering apprehension and obstructing the administration of justice. Officer Joseph Leskowski made the arrests on Sawmill Road.

June 17

Township man George Maroulis, 45 was charged with aggravated assault and endangering a helpless or incapacitated person. Officer Brian Farnkopf made the arrest on Lafayette Drive.

June 17

Township man Nicholas Oxendine, 19 was charged with aggravated assault. Officer Paul Catalina made the arrest at police headquarters.

June 20

Township Jeffrey Woodworth, 28 possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog. Officer Scott Smith made the arrest on Prospect Drive.

June 20

Township woman Tanya Douglas, 35 was charged with disorderly conduct, simple assault and use or threat of use of force against law enforcement officers. Officer Charles Kelly made the arrest on Sawmill Road.

June 21

Township man Steven Moore, 22 was charged with aggravated assault and endangering a helpless or incapacitated person. Officer Thomas Caulfield made the arrest at police headquarters.

June 22

Jesus Cervantes-Villanu, 24, of Ocean Grove and Gonzalo Farias-Zaragoza, 23, of Ocean Township were charged with use or threat of use of force against law enforcement officers and aggravated assault on law enforcement officers. Cervantes-Villanu was also charged with disorderly conduct. Officer Dominick Puccio made the arrest on Chambers Bridge Road.

June 22

Township man William Adams, 54 was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing a breath test, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. Officer George Williams made the arrest on Hooper Avenue.

June 23

Township man Daniel Cardone, 34 was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. Officer Brian Williams made the arrest on Birch Drive.

June 24

Township woman Amanda Kessler, 26 was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent use of credit cards and theft by deception. Officer Michael Bevacqua made the arrest at police headquarters.

June 26

Township woman Tanya Douglas, 35 was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, robbery and aggravated assault. Officer Robert Koch made the arrest on Sawmill Road.

Toms River residents Eric Werzbowski, 31 and Stephanie Didolce, 23 were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog and drug paraphernalia. Werzbowski was also found to have an outstanding warrant. Officer Brian Lash made the arrests at Queen Ann Road and Hooper Avenue.

Township man Robert Gadson, 49 was charged with possession of over 50 grams of marijuana and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Officer Bernardino Alvarado made the arrest on Route 88.

June 27

Joseph Barone, 57, Toms River was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia, and two motor vehicle violations. Officer Robert Scelfo made the arrest at Brick and Beaverson Boulevards.

Township woman Christine Sullivan, 43 was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog and an outstanding warrant. Officer Mark Storch made the arrest on Van Zile Road.

Township man Robert Carlson, 50 was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog, possession of a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and careless driving. Officer Brian Ulman made the arrest on Van Zile Road.

Steve Domeraski, 55, of Monmouth Junction was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and two other motor vehicle violations. Officer Scott Smith made the arrest at Route 70 and Forge Pond Road.

Township man Dajon Reid, 23 was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance or analog and drug paraphernalia. Officer Brian Ulman made the arrest at Lanes Mill Road and Primrose Lane.

Jackson Township

July 3

Leonard Vasile Jr., 25 of South Plainfield was charged with invasion of privacy following an investigation into criminal activity at Six Flags Great Adventure where he was employed as an entertainer. The investigation revealed that a computer had been concealed in a dressing room for female entertainers sometime during the Fright Fest event last year and remained throughout the beginning of this season. This activity had reportedly taken place in a private trailer used by employees only and did not involve the general public. Detectives Mitch Cowit and Ed Howe conducted the investigation which is continuing with the assistance of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and park representatives. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson Police Detective Bureau at 732-928-1111.

Stafford Township

June 24

Megan Campana, 35, of Manahawkin was charged with driving while intoxicated. Sergeant Kenneth Schiattarella Jr. made the arrest on Skipper Road.

July 2

An 18-year-old homeless man was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault, obstructing the administration of justice and trespassing after police responded to a report of two homeless people fighting in a wooded area at the corner of Hilliard Boulevard and Beach Avenue. His 17-year-old girlfriend was also charged with obstructing the administration of justice and trespassing. Sergeant Kenneth Schiattarella Jr. made the arrests.

July 5

Raymond A. Jachowski, 27, Little Egg Harbor was charged with aggravated assault on an emergency medical technician after becoming combative while being transported by EMS for treatment of a facial laceration sustained in a fall. Officer Robert MacFarlane made the arrest.

Toms River

July 1

An unidentified man attempted to take $539 in merchandise from Kohls by placing the items in a shopping bag and exiting the store. The suspect fled when approached by loss prevention officers who recovered the items. Patrolman Anthony Scali took the report. Images from the surveillance recordings have been posted on the Toms River Police Facebook site and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Roger Hull at 732-349-0150 extension 1291.
