Best navy suits for the office, weddings and just about everywhere else (4)

The men's navy suit is a versatile wardrobe staple that'll serve you just as well at the office as the next formal celebration on your social calendar. Here are the blue beauties GQ is eyeballing

Not quite as harsh as a black suit and a little more lively than grey, the men's navy suit has long been a tailoring colour of choice, with an appeal that transcends any single occasion. Of the three stalwart sartorial choices, navy is the most adaptable, easily accessorised for corporate, casual or downright dandy aesthetics.

With two-piece navy suits emerging as a popular choice in the earliest days of matching tailoring, towards the end of the 19th century, this smart colour choice has proved its timeless appeal. A mainstay of the best suits experts from Savile Row and a go-to for designers a la Maison Margiela and Tom Ford, like grey suits, navy options come in many different shades, but in our opinion, the sweet spot is deep and just dark enough.

And while they look excellent with a tan-hued leather Derby, such is the versatility of a navy blue suit that you needn't shy away from a polished black dress shoe nor a box-fresh white trainer to keep things sharp and stylish. Here are some of the best we've seen.
